Christening Day

Sophie's special day! More than 30 friends and family came from as far away as Minnesota, California and Baja California Norte for Sophie's christening on the lawn of the Cadet Chapel at the U.S. Air Force Academy.



Chaplain Don "D-Cubed" den Dulk, who presided over the Wedding of the Century as well as Shelby's and Jarrett's christenings, was in top form today. We had the pleasure of visiting him at recently at his Oregon retreat during our California Road Trip.


Godfather Tony (a fraternity brother and longtime friend) and Godmother Joelle (a childhood friend of Renee's) flank the Chaplain for the christening. Renee has several cousins and an aunt in the Denver area, who all joined us with their families. In addition, her dad and stepmom came from Baja California Norte; her mom and brother from Minnesota; my folks and my godfather/uncle and aunt from California.
